Insert a strip firmly into the meter until it clicks. Apply a 0.5 µL blood sample to the strip’s sample window – capillary action draws the blood in. Wait for the meter’s countdown, then read your blood-glucose level on the display.

Unopened test-strip vials are good for 24 months from the manufacture date (printed on the vial). Once opened, use strips within 90 days and always reseal the vial immediately after removing a strip.

Keep the vial tightly closed at room temperature between 2 °C and 30 °C (36 °F to 86 °F). Avoid direct sunlight, high humidity, and extreme temperatures to maintain strip accuracy.

Common causes include insufficient blood on the strip, an expired strip, or exposure to moisture. If you see an error code, discard that strip, try again with a fresh one, and ensure the sample window is fully filled.
