I compared it to our oral thermometer and it was within 0.2 each time, which is good enough for me. The in ear readings are super quick and the LED helps me not poke around. My husband likes using the non contact mode on himself because he hates ear stuff. We even used object mode on the baby’s room heater to make sure it wasn’t blasting too hot. No fancy fluff, just does what I need.
