honestly i didn’t read the manual first, just pressed the top button and it beeped and gave me a number fast. then i figured baby mode vs object mode later, icons tiny but ok. i like the red light, kind of like a pointer, makes it easy at night. used it on forehead wireless then ear for me and readings matched close. charging no cable, just batteries, wish it was chargeable but its fine. 4 stars coz it works.
